As Christians we have been set free from enslavement to the devil.  Now we are enslaved willingly to Christ Jesus!  However, we still live in a sinful world, and we still are attached to our old sinful natures and are vulnerable to being enslaved to things in this world.  In our Epistle lesson this week, Paul alerts us to the dangers of letting things, even things that are lawful, still entangle us in sinfulness.  Paul addresses specifically the problem of sexual immorality and how it can enslave us.  His answer; run! Run from those things that threaten to control you!
