WHAT TO EXPECT...
Ascension Lutheran has two very different worship services.

No matter which service you attend, you can be sure that you will hear the message of Jesus Christ, and you will meet some warm, loving people who desire to serve the Lord.

The early service at 8:15 am is a liturgical service out of the Lutheran Service Book.  We sing traditional hymns, and the pastor and worship assistants, as well as the acolytes, are dressed in white.  The pastor is also adorned with the color of the church season.  This is currently our most attended service.

The Outreach Service at 11:00 am is quite different.  There is no formal liturgy, though the service remains distinctively Lutheran, with all of the gifts of worship that are present at the more traditional service.  The music is led by our Outreach Worship Team that consists of a pianist, bass guitarist, electrical guitarists, woodwinds, drums, and vocals.  The pastor and worship assistants are casually dressed, and the pastor gives his sermon from the floor, rather than the pulpit.
